2014

On August 28 2014, the inaugural ceremony of Chery Brazil plant took place in Jacarei, Sao Paulo.

On August 27 2014, Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS), Russia's largest and most influential of its kind, opened at Crocus Expo International Convention Center. Chery made fresh appearance with a strong lineup of eight models.

On July 29 2014, Chery held the offline and delivery ceremony of Bonus 3 (known as E3 in China) and Tiggo 5 at World Trade Center Moscow, marking the successful initiation of the localized assembly project between Chery and Derways.

On April 20 2014, Chery unveiled two new models of concept cars Concept α and Concept β themed on “Chery Technology, Faithful to Your Trust” on the 2014 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

April 2014, at the "Auto® Design Conference", TX concept grabbed the "Award for Best Auto Design" in 2012. Auto® is Europe's largest and the world's second largest auto design conference.

On March 2014, Chery launched Novo Tiggo AT model in Brazil, which is the first Chinese brand AT model in Brazil.

2013

September 2013, “CHERY PERÚ”(http://www.chery.com.pe), the official website of CHERY in Peru, has won the “Automobile Standard of Excellence”in the auto category of Web Marketing Association's WebAward 2013.

On September 19, Chery's distributor held a launch conference in Colombia for Fulwin 2 (Fulwin in Colombia).

July, 2013, the most influential football exposition in the Republic of Chile (Expo F11) grandly opened in the exhibition center of Espacio Riesco, Santiago. On the occasion of Chile National Football Team rushing to the 2014 Brazil Football World Cup, as the sponsor of Chile National Football Team, Chery Automobile sent a strong lineup to participate in the Expo.

July 2013, 11 Chery Celer became the vehicles of highway police of the expressway in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which is the first time for Chery automobile to be applied to the public service industry.

On June 2013, Chery New Tiggo was launched jointly in Central and South America's Chile, Brazil and Peru.

On May 29, 2013, Chery showed up in the 21st Kyiv International SIA'2013 Motor Show with seven major models under the theme of "Chery always with you".

On April 7, 2013, Chery launched two quality models--TIGGO and E5 in Egypt.

On March 27 to 28, 2013, Chery Celer (A13 Flexfuel) launched in the Brazilian market.

March 2013, Chery announced to join hands with the prestigious Brazilian football club Santos to sponsor its three matches in the Sao Paulo State League. This has come as Chery's another sporting marketing campaign in Central and South America after sponsoring the Chilean national football team last year.

March 2013,Good news has come from the high-profile 83rd Geneva International Motor Show that Chery TX concept car has conquered the picky and rigorous world judges by its advanced design concept and perfect modeling, and outperformed a host of European, American and Japanese concept cars to grab the award for "Best Concept Car of the Year", making a splash in the local media. This is also the first grand international auto design award for Chinese auto brands.

2012

December 2012, “2012 Best Chinese Auto Model”, organized by Bolido, an authoritative auto magazine in Chile, has been unveiled. As a result, Chery Fulwin (Fulwin II in China) outperformed a host of strong rivals to be honored as the most popular Chinese model among Chilean consumers in 2012 with an overwhelming majority of votes.

November 1st, the 2012 Baghdad Autoshow was officially inaugurated in Iraq. Chery, China’s largest independent automaker appeared with a strong lineup of 13 models.

October 22, 2012, South America’s most influential auto show hold every two years opened in Sao Paulo. China’s largest independent passenger vehicle manufacturer Chery made brilliant appearance with a theme of “Now Brazilian”. On the first public open day of the auto show, accompanied by high-ranking officials including the minister of development, industry and foreign trade of Brazil and the governor of Sao Paulo State, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff visited the auto show and went straight to Chery booth.

May 2012, Chery was honored as the “Best Auto Brand” at Esfahan International Motor Show in mid-May.

On May 2012, Chery recorded exports of 700,000 vehicles, still the undisputed leader in export of Chinese passenger vehicles.

April 24, 2012, the 2012 Chery International Business Conference and the 10th Anniversary of Chery International organized by Chery Automobile were held in Beijing.

2011

November 13, 2011, as donated police cars by the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) to Egypt, 400 Tiggo cars departed from Shanghai Port for Egypt.

October 13, 2011, the launch ceremony for Chery Fulwin2 was staged concurrently in the Chilean capital of Santiago and the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo.

On September 22, 2011, INDIS (Chery X1) was launched in Moscow, Russia.

August 29th 2011, a grand ceremony was held to mark that Chery’s ZGT plant in Aragua of Venezuela start producing cars.

August 19 2011, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between Chery and the China-Africa Development Fund (CAD Fund) was held in Hefei.

August 5, 2011, the launch ceremony for Chery was held in To Kwa Wan, marking Chery’s entrance into Hong Kong.

2011-7 Carro, a famous Brazilian auto magazine, has conducted a comprehensive test and comparison of ten entry-level models in Brazil. QQ came out on top in overall performance, ranking first in six items including braking time, maintenance cost, warranty period, terminal price, comfort cost and safety cost.

On July 19, 2011, the cornerstone laying ceremony for Chery Brazil Industry Park was held at Jacarei, St. Paul.

In May 2011, Over 100,000 Chery Tiggo cars had been sold in the overseas markets by May this year.

April 2011 Chery appeared at the Belgrade Auto Show in April 2011 as the only Chinese automaker, and claimed three awards: “Award for Market Performance”, “Marketing Award” and “Award for Booth Design”.

April 19, 2011 On Chery’s booth at the Shanghai International Auto Show, Chery announced the export number has reached 500,000. Chery is China’s first automaker with exports over 500,000.

March 2011 Indonesia-based Frontier Consulting, Sheng Yi and Marketing conducted a joint survey of consumers to evaluate all auto brands in Indonesia. As a result, Chery QQ stood out to claim the title of “Best Chinese Brand in 2010”.

March 2011 Chery A3 and Tiggo vehicles were delivered to Belgrade Police through bidding, marking Chery has become one of the governmental official vehicles of East European countries and Chinese auto brands have entered the governmental official vehicle market in Eastern Europe.

February 24, 2011 Chery entered Australia, introducing A1 and T11 first.

January 2010 Rely & Doublestar fleet participated in the 33rd Dakar Rally in Argentina and Chile, racers Jiang Yaohuan and Liu Kun steered Rely X5 and came in 40th and 42nd respectively.

2010

December 2, 2010 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2010 opened. Chery participated with seven models as the only Chinese exhibitor.

October 28, 2010 The 13th Turkey International Motor Show opened. With the theme of “Vitality, Modernism and Dynamism”, Chery exhibited 18 models, including models and new-tech products such as A1, A3, Tiggo, G5 and G6.

October 2010 the list of “Most Admired Chinese Companies in 2010” released by Fortune was unveiled in Beijing. As a result, Chery made the list for the fifth consecutive time since 2006.

September 17, 2010 Chery and the St. Paul State Government concluded a framework agreement at Chery on plant building. Chery is the first Chinese automaker building a plant in Brazil.

July 2010 China’s only “national engineering laboratory of automobile energy conservation and environmental protection” was inaugurated and went into operation at Chery, which is Asia’s largest, most advanced and functional automotive technical test center.

May 2010 Chery entered Cote d'ivoire.

May 2010 The construction of Chery’s new plant in Syria was completed, with T11 new model running offline.

April 2010 Chery entered Cameroon.

April 2010 Chery held the largest Annual Overseas Distributor Conference in Beijing, with the participation of over 200 distributors and journalists from over 60 countries.

March 5, 2010 Chery entered Nepal, introducing Tiggo, A1 and QQ3 first.

March 1, 2010 Chery A1, A3 and Tiggo were launched in Serbia.

February 2010 Chery donated the first batch of 510 tents to Chile’s quake-hit area as the first Chinese corporate donor.

January 2010 Chery Rely fleet participated in the 32nd Dakar Rally in Argentina and Chile, racers Lu Ningjun and Jiang Yaohuan performed well and came out with 28th and 29th respectively.

2009

August 10, 2009 Chery and Romania concluded an agreement to export passenger vehicles to the country.

July 10, 2009 Chery held the launch ceremony for Tiggo SUV in southeast Brazil’s city of Campinas, marking Chery’s entry into Brazil.

April 20, 2009 Chery participated in Shanghai International Auto Show 2009, attracting over 50 media outlets from over 14 countries.

2008

November 14, 2008 Chery landed on Thailand.

September 30, 2008 Chery’s cumulative exports topped 300,000 units.

August 31, 2008 Chery Tiggo ran offline at Chery’s plant at DME, Egypt, marking Chery’s entry into Egypt.

July 2, 2008 Chery cars entered Argentina.

June 27, 2008 Chery cars entered Turkey.

April 22, 2008 Chery International Business Conference 2008, themed “Let’s Speed”, was held in Beijing.

2007

August 28, 2007 Chery cars were launched in San Diego, capital of Chile.

August 22, 2007 Chery’s 1,000,000th car (A3) ran offline.

July 27, 2007 Chery cars were launched in Brunei.

July 20, 2007 Chery cars were launched in the Philippines.

May 8, 2007 Chery’s cumulative overseas sales topped 100,000 units.

March 22, 2007 Chery and SOCMA, Argentina concluded a joint venture agreement.

August 7, 2006 Chery is honored as a “national automobile and automotive parts export base”.

August 1, 2006 Chery cars jointly assembled by Chery and DME, Egypt were launched.

July 12, 2006 Chery cars were launched in Malaysia.

June 2, 2006 Chery and UAC, Ukraine concluded an SKD project cooperation agreement.

April 27, 2006 Chery cars were launched in Russia.

March 2, 2006 Chery exported the first batch of 2,100 engines to the U.S.

December 5, 2005 Chery’s first overseas subsidiary was established in Russia.

November 26, 2003 Chery and MVM, Iran concluded a CKD project cooperation agreement.

October 27, 2001 The first batch of ten Chery cars were exported to Syria via Tianjin Port.
